Hello – I hear you want to be a friend of The Giddledegoys?
First
of all, if you are over 10 years old then you will never see us, but if
you are younger and small (like us) you may just catch a glimpse out of
the corner of your eye.
Let me introduce myself. My name is Willow and I live in a tiny house under the willow tree (naturally) in the village of Ferndale. I am in charge of the decorations for the Walnut Feast that happens every September.
Tubby
is my best friend and he lives just around the corner. As his name implies,
he is a little on the large side and this has got him into quite a few
scrapes. He is also in charge of the glow-worm factory. Offer him a pie
and he will be your friend for life!
Ask Mrs Bramble if you want anything special baked. All the ladies of the village cook and bake cakes but Mrs Bramble’s are the best – (don’t tell the other ladies!!) She has a son called Leaf and her daughter is called Petal.
On
the edge of Ferndale is Woodpile Cottage. This is owned by Mr and Mrs
Bark and their two children Moss and Thistle. They had quite an adventure
recently and you can read about it in “The Giddledegoys”.
There are also two naughty girls who live in the village Violet and Bluebell. They are always in trouble.
I told you at the beginning that no-one over 10 years old can see us but there is just one and her name is Pam Maltby. She is one of the Big People and has become a real friend to us. Although we are supposed to be a secret, if you go on to Amazon.co.uk or Play.com or even go to your own local book shop you can find out a bit more about our lives in Ferndale.

There is also another lady who had a quick peek (unbeknown to us) and she managed to do a few sketches - Wendy Duffin we'll be watching out for you in future! Good pictures though!!!
Just recently all of us Giddledegoys have been whistling a catchy little tune and I expect you can hear it as well. If you can't stop humming it, then blame the person who wrote it and that is Matt Allen.
